Wow!

I know I have talked about this blog, and this girl, and this ministry a lot, but have you read her latest post?? I am SO inspired and speechless! This is the kind of faith I want and long to have once again, and I also want to hear from God like this, and see Him showing up in my life in this manner. It is incredible. I am so convicted. In our society it is WAY too easy to get distracted by t.v., computers, cell phones, texting, shopping, etc., etc...and we just don't hear the voice of God. I am seriously rethinking about all that is getting in the way of me hearing from God in this manner, and I will be making some gradual adjustments in the near future. I've become way too comfortable...and way too complacent. God can and will show up in any of our lives like this, if we will just take the time to spend with HIM, talk to him in prayer, and ask. May you be challenged as well...

Blesssings!!!

I know! I read it too...and feel the same as you. What she is experiencing is incredible..and it leaves me feeling the same as you -what adjustments do I need to make to hear God that way?

Wasn't that a wonderful post? She is such an amazing woman and an inspiration. The story of Sarah just blew me away.

I think you really hit the nail on the head complacency - we become complacent to Christ by partaking in too many worldly things, giving them more time and attention then we should. This year I decided not to watch the Oscars, it was on late and I knew it would mean I was more tired the next day and the chance I'd still have the energy to put into my Bible study and my prayer group etc. It wasn't that I feel people shouldn't do it, it was about becoming aware of the amount of time we give to "stuff" like shopping, watching, texting then we could be using our time to live out Christ's teachings. I'm doing a brilliant bible study with my bible study group right now and it really has me focused on four things Christ asks of us, I'll blog about it soon!
