I have wanted to do a weekly meal plan forever, and I finally did it! It was so much easier than I thought. I sat down with some cookbooks, and wrote out two full weeks of dinners I will make for my family! I then went shopping and got all of the ingredients I will need. Here is my very first menu of dinners for the next two weeks. I started yesterday!
Yesterday: Spaghetti squash with spaghetti sauce-this is a great way to get your kids to eat veggies if that's an issue in your house. The first time I made this, it took awhile before anyone even realized the spaghetti was not pasta!! And its yummy!!
Today: Quinoa with curry blend
Green salad with yellow pear tomatoes
Wednesday: Bean burritos made with homemade refried beans
Thursday: Spicy lentil soup
Artisan bread
Friday: Tropical chicken salad
Biscuits
Monday: Jeff's choice
Tuesday: Hamburger soup
Whole wheat bread
Wednesday: Chicken & rice
Crescent rolls
Thursday: Ground turkey meatloaf
Garlic mashed potatoes
Green beans
Friday: Toasted tuna sandwhiches
Garden fresh tomato soup

Have you heard of "Menuplan Monday?" I forget which blog is doing that... it is a great place to get some ideas for what to cook from others. Also meals4mom,com, I think will send you a weekly menuplan as well as a grocery shopping list.
